Derek & Stephanie have been in full time ministry for over 30 years, successfully pastoring 4 other congregations in Alabama before moving to Texas.. Derek has a BS in Theology from Lee University. Derek has been a district overseer in Alabama and has been a supervising pastor to several new ministers. Together, they have Biblically counseled many married couples. They have three adult children, all married, who love the Lord and are actively serving Him.. They have 5 amazing grandchildren that call them Bubbles and Pops. They came to Southside Baptist Church in February of 2026, as interim pastors, and are excited to see what God has in store for the church. Our brightest days are ahead!
